Sycamore Environmental provides services for full environmental compliance on public infrastructure projects, including bridge replacement, road improvement, flood control projects and airport projects. We have prepared environmental documents for over 200 road and bridge projects in California for local, State, and federally funded transportation projects.  The federal funded programs include Highway Bridge Program (HBP) projects, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), Safe Route to School (SR2S), Seismic Safety Retrofit (LBSRP), Transportation Enhancement (TE), and Highway Safety projects under the High Risk Rural Road (HR3) programs.  We have extensive experience in Caltrans Districts 1, 3, 4, 5, and 10 preparing Preliminary Environmental Studies (PES), Natural Environment Studies (NES), wetland delineations, Biological Assessments for Endangered Species Act consultations, air quality, water quality and visual impact studies.

We have extensive experience in evaluating existing project conditions and assessing potential impacts on sensitive resources; developing mitigation measures to avoid or minimize impacts; and implementing and monitoring mitigation measures.  We prepare draft and final environmental documents for NEPA/CEQA compliance including Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declarations or combined CEQA/NEPA documents.  We currently provide environmental consulting support for transportation projects under direct contract or as part of an engineering design team to Calaveras, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Mendocino, Monterey, Placer, Santa Cruz, Sierra, Solano, Stanislaus, Tuolumne and Yolo counties, the cities of Placerville, Suisun City, Vallejo, and Winters.  We have master agreement/on-call contracts with several of these counties.
